Modavox and Vail School District Partner to Create New E-Learning Software Product

PHOENIX--Modavox, Inc. (OTCBB:MDVX - News), an Internet broadcasting pioneer in the production and distribution of online audio and video, today announced that it entered into a product development project with the Vail School District for Empire High School in Tucson, Arizona. The software product created by Modavox's Interactive Division will provide content publishing capabilities and customized rich media content delivery environments for faculty, students, parents and administrators.

The purpose of the project is to consolidate the best practices, technologies, and resources of Empire High School and create a leading-edge product that adds value and utility to existing infrastructure and software such as the award winning Student Information System software PowerSchool, a Pearson Education product developed by Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL - News) and used in over 8,000 schools.

Superintendent of Vail School District, Calvin Baker stated "Empire High School and Modavox are both progressive and innovative organizations. We expect the product they are developing will move Empire to the next level of performance. We also expect the product will make it easier for other schools to follow Empire into the 21st century."

"Working with faculty at Empire High School, we've identified an area where a Modavox software solution can solve problems, eliminate the expense of third party software, and fully take advantage of existing infrastructure and software such as PowerSchool, which currently has a lot of latent potential at Empire," said Nathaniel Bradley, Chief Technology & Product Officer for Modavox. "Vail School District has exceptional IT leadership already in place, and to their credit, this project will create a software product asset that leverages our patented e-learning platform while bringing potential new revenues to both organizations. Although we have not finalized the pricing yet, we believe based on our research that the product will go to market for around $35,000 per school installed and $3,500 per school quarter in license fees with a rebate due to Vail School District of 15% per sale."
